Stefan Hug

Stefan Hug was born in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. After majoring in Philosophy, Linguistics and Japanese Studies, he came to Japan to teach German. His research focuses on German grammar and the role of grammatical meta-knowledge in Second Language Acquisition, but in recent years, he has also been interested in Cultural Studies, esp. the General Theory of Culture and Cultural change. Further interests are history, esp. the history of ideas, and economics, but he also likes literature, cinema and photography, as well as cycling, swimming and hiking. He has published several novels and translations under a pen name in Germany. |
