Required core courses consist of Introduction to Academic Research and Comprehensive Kochi Research

 

Introduction to Academic Research (First Semester / 2 credits)
Develop fundamental research, reporting and discussion skills in this course
Comprehensive Kochi Research (Second Semester / 2 credits)
Build a broad knowledge base and perspective by conducting field research in Kochi

These are fundamental compulsory courses that cover the humanities and social sciences disciplines and are required to be completed during the first year. Both courses provide unique opportunities to interact with peers and faculty members from diverse humanities and social sciences backgrounds.
Through field work and discussions with peers and faculty members from various disciplines, these courses encourage you to expand your interest beyond your field, thus broadening possibilities for your own research.
