The Humanities and Social Sciences program covers the humanities and the social sciences academic areas. It is further divided into three courses of study, each with diverse course offerings. Students gain deep knowledge of their specific research theme while developing a broad perspective. In the required Introduction to Academic Research and Comprehensive Kochi Research courses, students from diverse research backgrounds engage constructively with each other, with support from assigned faculty members. Through this approach, students are encouraged to become versatile thinkers developing expert knowledge along with a wide-scope perspective.

 

The Humanities and Social Sciences graduate program is divided into three courses: Humanities, Global Society Studies, and Social Sciences. While the main area of study will be within the chosen course, the curriculum includes the study of other areas to promote a diverse and comprehensive perspective. Masters (Literature, Arts, or Economics) degree will be awarded in the chosen area of study upon completion of the program.
